Holds two degrees from MIT (Management, 1987 and Supply Chain, 2024), innovates at scale and loves teaching. His 1987 MIT Thesis “Key Factors for Establishing Electronic Markets” was described by Thesis Advisor John DC Little as Prophetic. He joined C-DoT on a mission to “Increase the velocity of money in India”, conceived of NEFT and laid its foundation in 1989. He returned to Silicon Valley and created a venture-funded startup Enforsys, a cloud ERP for Police Departments that now runs over 700 Police Departments in 14 US states. When Steve Jobs announced the App Store in 2008, he bootstrapped Opcenter to create an app: QuickBooks in your iPhone. It was ranked by InformationWeek as a top 10 Business App on the App Store. He built a cloud ERP for manufacturers of Craft Beer which quickly became market leader in the US and was acquired in 2015 by Nasdaq:PAYD. While pursuing Entrepreneurship fulltime, he became Adjunct Faculty at multiple NJ/NY universities and taught Entrepreneurship to 17 batches of MBAs. In 2017, he moved to Bangalore and started teaching Spoken English, Math and Science to underprivileged schoolchildren. He is now on a mission to teach Finance Literacy to those who need it most: underprivileged students in 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th standard in Govt. Schools.
